The ILX Lightwave FOM-7900B system meets the requirements for high-channel-count fiber testing. The FOM-7900B system host can synchronously modulate up to 200 fiber source modules. To further simplify system integration, we provide input and output modulation ports. To achieve fast and automated testing, FOM-7900B has GPIB/IEEE-488.2 interfaces and LabVIEW instrument drivers. FOM-7900B is a high-performance fiber testing and development platform consisting of an 8-slot instrument host and supporting plug-in modules, all of which are controlled by an intuitive and user-friendly interface.
This system provides an economical and efficient solution for WDM and CWDM testing applications (including EDFA, SOA and fiber component characterization). For higher-density WDM systems, up to 24 additional 7900B hosts can be linked together, totaling 200 channels, all controlled by a single GPIB address.
