The 8558A 8-bit semi-digital multimeter provides 5MS/s high-resolution digital sampling for system automation in laboratory and manufacturing test environments. Fluke Calibration's new high-speed system design and extremely fast direct digital sampling capability can significantly improve efficiency for many automation systems that require both high speed and high accuracy. Excellent accuracy over an ultra-wide measurement range with more than nine measurement functions, an intuitive user interface and a color screen.
The 8558A shares the same hardware platform as the fully equipped 8588A digital multimeter. The platform has a common intuitive user interface with an easy-to-navigate menu structure, support for all configurations, and a set of SCPI-compatible commands for automated environments. In addition, the 8588A platform supports taking at least 100,000 readings/SEC @ 4.5 bits via GPIB, USB or Ethernet, as well as holding up to 15 million readings in the data memory.
