8164A is the main unit of the optical wave measurement system, supporting a full range of adjustable laser source modules as well as each module of the 8153A and 8163A optical wave multi-purpose instrument series. 81682A is an adjustable laser source module, which can be installed in the bottom slot of the 8164A main unit. Its wavelength range is from 1460nm to 1580nm, with a maximum output power of 8dBm. It is mainly used for testing optical amplifiers and passive devices under high excitation power.
