The M-436 high-performance Thin cross roller bearing linear platform features cross roller bearings running on ground steel V-shaped guides to provide the perfect combination of high resolution movement, low radial runout and large load capacity. For stability, repeatability and exceptionally smooth motion, the actuator is supported on a hardened carbide blade. The spring provides a pre-tightening force on the actuator tip to eliminate clearance. To ensure consistently reliable performance, these platforms have been extensively tested in Newport's interferometric quality assurance facility. The highly stable and robust stainless steel actuator mounting system gives you the option to attach Newport's manual or electric actuators to the platform in either a left - or right-handed configuration. Non-impact locks similar to those used on our top-of-the-line ULTRAlign™ series (also reversible for left-hand configurations) provide reliable stable positioning and prevent accidental adjustments. This rugged platform version features a convenient array of metric M6 threaded holes and a travel range of 50.8 mm. These platforms can be easily stacked for XY axis applications and can be combined with our 360-90 Angle brackets for XYZ axis configurations.
