The Model 4600 electronic load is used to fully test AC output power conversion products such as uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and frequency converters using a full range of nonlinear loads. Due to the wide range of load control, it ensures optimal performance under a variety of actual operating conditions.
Nonlinear load
Programmable and non-linear (i.e., any power factor and crest factor) load testing is an obvious advantage. Most importantly, it enables rapid testing of products under a wide range of possible loads. Another advantage is the ability to instantly switch to different load states as required for product testing. Its versatility not only ensures the product quality, but also improves the test speed.
Wide range of application
To meet the requirements of most UPS and inverters, the 4600 series has two power ranges: 3000W and 6000W. If higher power is required, devices can be added in parallel. All devices operate at 50 to 350V AC and in several simulation modes (constant current, constant voltage, constant resistance, fixed power and short circuit).
"One-box" test solution
With a computer controller, the Model 4600 includes instruments for testing all AC output products. In addition to flexible load control, the device can perform 12 high-precision measurements, including voltage, current, peak current, frequency, crest factor, power factor and active power. Real-time voltage, current and power waveforms will be displayed on the computer softboard. This eliminates the need for external measuring equipment, associated signal matrices, and wiring. Therefore, the device has the advantages of small size, low cost and fast test speed.
Suitable for corporate systems or manual applications
The Model 4600 has a variety of uses, originally designed for final functional testing of automated test systems, combined with computers or for engineering design verification testing, incoming inspection, and repair of returned products. In order to enable users to use the device as quickly as possible and integrate the device with other devices, the 4600 provides an instructional graphical user interface and LabVIEW driver.
