The mTFX-C1 is a modular Ethernet or GPIB instrument that can be managed directly from a PC-based automation system. With it, there is no need to redeploy optical networking technologies or use composite libraries with dedicated interface cards.
Based on next-generation Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCOS) technology, the mTFX-C1 is much more than a tunable filter. It combines the functions of a variable attenuator, switch, power meter and DWDM multiplexer to greatly simplify optoelectronic testing of coherent interfaces, amplifiers and DWDM systems. With TrueFlex™ technology, the filter is continuously tunable at center wavelength and bandwidth and is not locked to the ITU grid. Multiple parallel wavelength channels can be created without disrupting established connections—all at sub-GHz resolution. Industry-leading loss and out-of-band rejection specifications ensure that test signal impairment is kept to a minimum.
With the mTFX-C1, you can quickly get the right wavelength with the right power into the right test port – with the flexibility to isolate, trim, manage and transmit any wavelength or set of wavelengths using a simple and intuitive GUI and/or SCPI-based remote commands .
