Product description:
The Agilent 8494B is a 50 Ohm coaxial step attenuator. The attenuation can be changed in 1 dB steps. The attenuation shown on the control knob is the additional attenuation in the signal path over and above the insertion loss of the attenuator at 0 dB. The Agilent 8494B instrument is a four-segment attenuator that ranges from 0 dB to 11 dB in 1 dB steps. The attenuator sections are connected in cascade. Each section includes a precision thin film attenuation card, a lossless thrust line and a pair of edge line transmission lines. The edge lines are bent to make contact with the eithe.
