Based on the differential technology, it is composed of two photodiodes and a differential amplifier. The optical signal is split into two opposite-phase lights by an optical beam splitter, and then input into the two photodiodes respectively. The output currents are opposite, and the differential signal is obtained by subtracting them. It is amplified and adjusted to the working point through the feedback loop to eliminate the non-uniformity of the light source intensity and the performance of the photodiodes, thereby improving the sensitivity and anti-interference ability.
The wavelength range is 1060nm, 1310nm or 1550nm ± 50nm. The responsivity of the photodetector is 0.7mA/mW at 1310nm, the transconductance gain is 3×10⁴V/A, the RF bandwidth can reach DC-200MHz, the CW balance saturation power is greater than 130µW at 1310nm, the PD input power linear range is 0 to 1mW at 1310nm, the NEP (DC-100MHz) is less than 10pW, and the common mode rejection ratio is greater than 25dB.
It adopts a sturdy aluminum casing, featuring two optical input ports, one balanced RF output port, two 1kHz monitoring ports and one power port. It has the characteristics of ultra-low noise, excellent common mode rejection ratio, high conversion gain, wide bandwidth, etc. It can effectively improve the system signal-to-noise ratio, and the design takes into account user convenience, and is suitable for various application scenarios.
