Product Overview:
The balanced photodetector BPD-200 can simultaneously output two different detection signals. The fluctuation of laser power can be used to reduce common-mode noise. In most OCT systems, heterodyne detection is applied, and when the detected signal is inverted between the two input signals, it has a 3dB sensitivity advantage. In addition, the special design significantly reduces unwanted image artifacts, which is an unavoidable problem on other balanced detection instruments. The BPD-200 is the best detector applied in SS-OCT systems to date.
