The 4000W1000B model is an independent, air-cooled, broadband, fully solid-state amplifier, specifically designed for applications requiring instantaneous bandwidth and high gain. The push-pull circuit is used in all high-power stages to reduce distortion and improve stability. When used together with the RF sweep generator, the 4000W1000B model is rated to provide over 4000 W of RF power.
The 4000W1000B model is equipped with a digital control panel (DCP), which offers local and remote control for the amplifier. The DCP uses a color LCD touchscreen and a single knob to provide status reports and control functions. The display provides forward power, reflected power, and the status of the amplifier for display. Special features include gain control, internal automatic level control (ALC), front panel control of ALC threshold, forward and reflected RF sampling ports for precise power measurement, and RF output level protection. Protection is provided through the detection of DC current levels at all output stages.
