The 2938-R (P/N 7Z01706) single-channel high-performance optical power and energy meter is a significant improvement over the 2936-R, one of the fastest optical meters on the market. The latest Android-based operating system and 7" high brightness touch screen have greatly improved the user interface. Through high-bandwidth electronic design and high-speed digital processing, rate measurement rates up to 10 kHz are currently possible, with time stamps, and possibly up to 100 kHz in future firmware updates. Multiple graphics, multiple color Settings, and multiple language Settings are available. Advanced features such as scaling, analog filtering, averaging, triggering, and pass/fail judgments with warning audio are available. Fast analog outputs allow for integration with external data acquisition devices or signal analysis using an oscilloscope. USB and RS-232 communication methods are currently supported, and Wi-Fi and Ethernet will be added in future firmware upgrades, which can be easily completed by users. Extremely simple logging and its compatibility with the powerful PMManagerTM control software ensure the most comprehensive measurement data available.
