The Tektronix MSO44 mixed signal oscilloscope is available in a four-channel model and 13.3-inch HD (1,920 x 1,080) display for better viewing of complex systems. Many applications, such as embedded systems, three-phase power electronics, automotive electronics, power supply design, and DC-DC power converters, require the observation of more than four analog signals to verify and characterize device performance and debug challenging system problems.
Most engineers remember a situation where they debugged a particularly difficult problem and wanted greater system visibility and context, but the scope they used was limited to two or four simulation channels. Using a second oscilloscope requires a lot of effort to align the trigger points, difficulty determining the timing relationship between the two displays, and documentation challenges.
