The built-in noise factor uncertainty calculator can be pre-filled with data from SNS noise sources, USB preamplifiers, and all necessary instrument parameters such as analyzer noise figure, gain, noise factor uncertainty, and matching. The default noise figure setting provides simultaneous noise figure and gain measurements. Using the Table view, you can view multiple measurements simultaneously in tabular form, including noise factor, noise factor, Y factor, gain, Phot, Pcold, and Teffective. The Spectrum analyzer mode and IQ Analyzer (Basic) mode of the N8976B provide additional flexibility, allowing customers to analyze the characteristics of the device under test in more depth than necessary, in addition to measuring the noise figure. The 44 GHz built-in preamplifier (Option P44), 25 MHz analysis bandwidth (Option B25), precision Frequency reference (Option PFR), fine stepping attenuator (Option FSA), and background noise expansion (Option NFE) are provided as standard options. By connecting to the Keysight signal generator via LAN, USB or GPIB interface, external simulation local oscillator can be connected to the input of the frequency conversion device. Local oscillator control can be adjusted from the N8973B.
