S185ROF has a powerful arc discharge function composed of three electrodes (ROF: Ring of Fire) ®）。 Through this arc discharge function, a wide plasma field that cannot be achieved by two electrodes has been achieved, and a large-diameter optical fiber with a cladding diameter of up to 800 μ m can be fused and connected. By using the same packaging as other S185 series, significant miniaturization has been achieved.
