Product Description:
CWT Roche coils can be used for a variety of electronic measurements, such as switching losses in power semiconductors or to check whether the in-line inductance does not put excessive pressure on IGBTs or MOSFETs.
The CWT Mini has a 100mm / 2.5mm cross section coil to measure current in IGBTs The CWT is non-invasive, injects only a small amount of pH into the main loop, has a broadband bandwidth greater than 10MHz, has a predictable known measurement delay, and is thin and has a bendable construction. Therefore, it is easy to plug into parts of the circuit or circuit that are even difficult to reach.
The new CWT MiniHF features an innovative shielding coil, making it ideal for SiC device measurements with faster rise times and larger blocking voltages.
Generators, motor drivers and large AC currents in power supplies
Unlike other forms of current measurement, the size of the sensing coil (Rogowski coil) is independent of the size of the measured current. Therefore, for high currents, the size of the Rogowski coil can be selected to fit the conductor diameter, and the transducer does not require an expensive and bulky magnetic coil holder. In fact, in the 1000A range, there is no better choice than the Rogowski coil.
