In order to provide the right speed to the right customers, communication service providers (CSPs) deploy next-generation and traditional passive optical network (PON) technologies by covering multiple new wavelengths on existing fibers, which poses new challenges for fast and accurate testing of critical business activation stages: CSPs need power meters capable of testing next-generation and traditional PON technologies, and their on-site teams need to ensure that they are testing the right technologies correctly.
 
The PPM-350D is designed specifically to meet these two challenges and features unique PON sensing capabilities ™ The PPM-350D PON power meter is developed in collaboration with a first level CSP, which can automatically detect and adjust test parameters to adapt to PON technology used at customer sites, thereby eliminating expensive guesses by on-site technicians. Therefore, service providers can deploy faster, reduce activation costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
