Product introduction:
The versatility of the novel R&S NRP series power meter is mainly due to the recently developed power probe. These probes are intelligent stand-alone instruments that communicate with the base unit or a pc via a digital interface. Smart sensing technology, now implemented for the first time, sets a new standard based on versatility and accuracy requirements.
If it is true that the dynamic range of the power probe determines its popularity, the NRP-Z11 will have a chance to win. The dynamic range of the wideband modulated signal is up to 90Db, while the lower limit power measurement can be kept at a very low level of -67dBm due to noise and zero offset. This performance does not change, even when measuring a single gsm timeslot signal. For the signal-trigger measurement of the average power of a single burst pulse or the generation of a power-time characteristic template, the new sensor can also provide a wider dynamic range than any probes currently in use with conventional designs.
