The Keysight N4691A MW Electronic Calibration (ECal) module can calibrate vector network analyzers quickly, easily and accurately. The RF ECal system can now be easily controlled by one of two methods, depending on the network analyzer. The Keysight PNA and ENA series network analyzers directly control the module via the USB interface.
ECal is an ideal solution for calibrating network analyzers. Compared with mechanical calibration kits, the time and number of connections required to perform a complete dual-port calibration using ECal are less than half. Furthermore, the calibration accuracy of electronic and mechanical methods is comparable. Traditional mechanical calibration requires a large amount of operator intervention, which is prone to errors. With ECal, the operator only needs to connect the ECal module to the network analyzer, and the rest is controlled by software.
