It offers the best performance at a price in general purpose desktop, sweep test or scalar applications. This sweeper provides superior accuracy and stability while maintaining the speed of the analog source. Fully synthesized CW, stepped and ramp sweep modes are available for wideband and narrowband operations. This synthesis capability is particularly useful for the characterization of narrow-band devices, where open-loop sources have the most significant frequency instability. By using the power flatness correction characteristic of the power supply, the flatness and accuracy of the output power can be converted into the input port of the device under test.
