The Keysight 81570A is a variable optical attenuator module, which is a plug-in module of the optical wavelength solution platform (such as the 8163A/B, 8164A/B, and 8166A/B series). It is specifically designed for the characterization of optical network components in telecommunication and data communication systems. It has low insertion loss and excellent wavelength flatness within the complete attenuation range of 0 to 60 dB. It supports a single-mode wavelength range of 1200nm to 1700nm and can handle an input optical power of up to 2W. It is an ideal tool for testing optical amplifiers (such as EDFA, Raman amplifiers) and DWDM transmission systems.
