PCD - 005 is the 4-axis all-fiber polarization depolarization module (PolaMIX™) launched by Luna Innovations (formerly General Photonics). It adopts resonant high-frequency depolarization and microprocessor control, with a residual polarization degree of less than 5%. It supports RS - 232 remote control for wavelength and start/stop, is compatible with a 980–1660 nm wide band, and is used to eliminate polarization-dependent gain (PDG), PMD simulation compensation, PDL measurement, and suppression of polarization sensitivity, etc. The all-fiber design features low loss, high return loss, and wide temperature stability, making it suitable for harsh environments and system integration.
Key features
Wide-band high-precision depolarization: covers 980–1660 nm, with 6 preset wavelengths (980/1060/1310/1480/1550/1600 nm), residual polarization degree less than 5%, and output polarization state uniformly covering the Bange sphere.
Optical performance is outstanding: connectorless insertion loss is less than 0.05 dB, with connector loss less than 0.6 dB; return loss is greater than 65 dB (without connector); residual phase modulation is less than 0.1π, amplitude modulation is less than ±0.01 dB; can withstand more than 1000 mW optical power, PMD less than 0.05 ps, PDL less than 0.05 dB.
Remote intelligent controllability: equipped with ADB - 001 digital interface board, RS - 232 remote setting of wavelength, start/stop depolarization; 24 V DC power supply, TTL enable interface, suitable for system integration.
