Luna FPS - 003 is a fully fiber-optic phase modulator that achieves phase modulation directly on the fiber segment through piezoelectric technology. It has no waveguide, pigtail fiber, or optical path epoxy, and adopts a fully solid-state design. It has no mechanical moving parts and is standard model polarization-independent. It also offers a polarization-preserving version, capable of working in both directions. The phase shift only depends on the driving voltage and is largely independent of the data modulation rate of the optical signal. It has low dependence on the input wavelength (except for broadband sources) and is suitable for wavelength ranges of 1260-1650nm or 980-1310nm. It features high stability and low loss characteristics.
Key features
High bandwidth and frequency response: The working frequency range is from DC to 60kHz, which is more suitable for high-frequency phase modulation scenarios compared to FPS - 001 (DC - 20kHz) and FPS - 002 (DC - 20kHz).
Low half-wave voltage: The typical half-wave voltage Vπ is only 1-3V, reducing the design difficulty and power consumption of the driving system and facilitating integration into various control systems.
High phase shift capability: The maximum phase shift is > 55π, which can meet the requirements of large phase modulation and is suitable for various high-precision phase control applications.
