Product Description
Luna HXC56yn is a T-Ray® 5000 series terahertz online sensor head launched by Luna Innovations in the United States. It is an upgraded version of HXC55yn, featuring the VRS (Virtual Reference Surface) technology at its core. It is a non-contact measurement-specific sensor designed for industrial-grade scenarios. The product is based on the principle of terahertz wave reflection measurement and can perform online detection of key indicators such as single-layer/multi-layer thickness, quantitative base weight, and density without requiring frequent calibration, by detaching from the sample and without contact. When paired with the T-Ray® 5000 control unit, it can also output clear terahertz waveforms and precisely analyze the details of material layer structures. The overall design adopts industrial-grade sealing and high adaptability optical configuration, enabling seamless integration into various industrial production lines and inspection equipment. It is widely applicable for online monitoring and quality control in multiple fields such as industrial process control, material non-destructive testing, and coating and composite processing, and is a core sensing component for achieving industrial automation and high-precision measurement.
Key features
Polarization extinction ratio > 20:1 (horizontal), high polarization characteristics ensure the stability of terahertz wave transmission and improve the accuracy of measurement signals. Optional focal lengths of 25/75/150mm and collimation modes are available, supporting customized optical configurations, and suitable for different working distances and light spot size requirements. The beam diameter is 38mm, combined with a collinear optical path design, the measurement coverage range is moderate, the alignment operation of the optical path is simple, and the lens is easy to replace.
