Product Description:
Santec's new TSL-570 is a high-performance tunable laser with a wide tuning range and high power, as well as high signal-to-noise ratio output. It adopts a new optical resonator design, with precise speed control up to 200 nanometers per second, and resolution and accuracy reaching sub-picometre level.
Tunable lasers are widely used in photonics; they are employed in optical component characterization, photonic integrated circuit testing, quantum photonics, spectroscopy, and sensors. Santec's TSL-570 is a high-specification, fully functional instrument suitable for all applications. It has a simple touch-panel display for use and Ethernet, GPIB, and USB interfaces for remote control. The local area network wake-up (WoL) function provides convenience for remote installations. The model range covers 1240 to 1680 nanometers with an output power of up to 20 megawatts.
A new sealed laser cavity is mode-hopless and provides stable output at each wavelength. It has a 0.1 pm resolution, sub-ppm accuracy, and the market-leading 90 dB/0.1 nm ultra-low spontaneous emission level. The TSL-570 is seamlessly integrated with Santec's optical power meter (MPM series), optical switch (OSU series), and polarization controller (PCU series) to create a turnkey solution for wavelength-dependent loss (WDL) and polarization-dependent loss (PDL) measurement (scanning test system).
