Ultrafast IV, pulse IV, and instantaneous IV measurements are becoming a common requirement for the development of next-generation semiconductors, devices, and materials. The Keysight B1530A waveform generator/Fast Measurement Unit (WGFMU) in the Keysight B1500A series is the best measurement module for these time-dependent measurements. These measurements are usually made by a combination of pulse generators and oscilloscopes, but load line effects (voltage drop errors due to residual resistance) can adversely affect measurement accuracy. The B1530A WGFMU combines the arbitrary waveform generation function and has good application in high-speed IV measurement. Keyview's unique dynamic SMU technology eliminates load-line effects and enables users to perform more accurate and sensitive measurements than pulse generator-based solutions. The instrument is ideal for performing ultrafast IV measurements, pulsed IV measurements, and instantaneous IV measurements, such as ultrafast NBTI and RTN measurements.
