The Keysight B1525A HV-SPGU is a plug-in module for the B1500A semiconductor device analyzer that provides a 5 microsecond pulse IV parameter test solution with output capabilities up to 40 V and 400 mA. It is the best choice for pulse IV parameter measurement in mid-range power devices such as GaAs and HEMT devices for RF applications. The HV-SPGU module features output voltage monitoring and supports 5 μs sampling intervals for excellent accuracy. As shown in the block diagram, this feature allows the output current to be calculated using the known output impedance of the HV-SPGU module.
The B1525A HV-SPGU module features the highest precision voltage forcing function among semiconductor test pulse generators, with arbitrary waveform generation at 10 ns set resolution, providing best-in-class pulse generation to meet a wider range of applications. Each HV-SPGU module has two channels, so only one module is required for three-terminal device evaluation. The solution does not require any additional external devices or complex cabling. EasyEXPERT provides an application test library for performing pulse IV measurements using HVSPGU. The most basic of these application tests is to specify a single (point) pulse measurement on two HV-SPGU channels.
