The LTA-HS high-speed electric actuator is optimized for high-speed applications and can support a travel range of 50 mm. LTA actuators are designed to fit selected manual shift tables and other opto-mechanical components as a direct replacement for manual micrometers. [See Actuator compatibility table.] With a space-saving design, the motor and lead screw are mounted side by side. This reduces actuator length by 50% and minimizes the unnecessary impact of long cantilever loads on micropositioning devices. Non-rotating tips prevent wear and avoid periodic changes in motion caused by variable contact between the rotating tip and its mating surface. The precision movement is performed by a miniature DC servo motor with an optimized output torque. This allows for faster movement and higher load carrying capacity. Removable limit switch prevents excessive travel. The switch position can be changed within minutes to adjust the maximum stroke position. When the motor is turned off, the manual adjustment knob allows for quick positioning of the actuator. The scale indicates the rough actuator position in mm and inch.
