LDP-3840B Precision Pulsed Laser diode is a microprocessor-based device designed for pulse testing and characterization of laser diodes. LDP-3840B offers up to 3 peak pulse currents with adjustable pulse widths from 100 ns to 10ms.
The careful design of the clean pulse of the laser diode load level provides a low noise pulse current with a fast rise time while keeping the overshoot below 5%. LDP-3840B enables automated testing and characterization via the GPIB/IEEE interface.
For basic system integration, a trigger is used to control the pulse and initiate the corresponding measurement without the need for a command program. Like all ILX Lightwave® laser diode control instruments, the LDP-3840B features laser diode protection and safety features such as current limiting, output short circuits, AC line filters, and double-shielded transformers to help suppress laser damaging transients. For virtual instrument programming, LabVIEW® instrument drivers are available free of charge. LabVIEW® instrument drivers can be downloaded from the Literature and download options on this page.
