Using a unique and innovative architecture (rational approximate frequency synthesis), the SG380 series RF signal generator offers ultra-high frequency resolution (1 Hz), excellent phase noise, and multi-function modulation (AM, FM, FM, pulse modulation, and scanning) at a fraction of the cost of competing designs.
Standard models produce DC sine waves up to 2.025 GHz (SG382), 4.05 GHz (SG384), and 6.075 GHz (SG386). There is an optional frequency multiplier (Option 02) that extends the frequency range of SG384 and SG386 to 8.10 GHz. A low-jitter differential clock output (option 01) is available, and an external I/Q modulation input (Option 03) is also available. For demanding applications, the SG380 series can order a rubidium time base (Option 04).
