Product Description:
N5173B provides the basic signal to solve the parameter test of wideband filter, amplifier, receiver, etc. Perform basic LO up conversion or CW blocking at low cost covering 13, 20, 31.8 or 40 GHz. Wideband microwave components, such as filters and amplifiers, are characterized by an optimal combination of output power (+20 dBm at 20 GHz), low harmonics (≤ -- 55 dBc), and full-step attenuation. Use standard high-performance OCXOs as a reference for high stability systems with an aging rate of less than 5 parts per billion per day.
The N5173B EXG provides the best combination of specified output power, low harmonics, and full-order attenuation, so you don't have to sacrifice performance. Keysight N5173B can simulate the complex combination of analog signals, is an economical and efficient alternative to vector microwave source. In addition, the function generator can run synchronously and in parallel with the internal pulse generator (option UNW) and list scan. These features give you the flexibility to test receivers with more complex modulations (such as frequence-switching FM chirps) with low rate frequency and amplitude drift using low-cost analog microwave sources.
Features:
Balance budget and performance to address parameter testing of microwave components and receivers
Perform LO up-conversion for microwave backlink or CW blocking for receiver test
Maximize test throughput with 600 µs frequency switching
Microwave filters and amplifiers are characterized by the optimal combination of output power, low harmonics and full step attenuation
