Product Description:
The new 81628C high-power bald integrating sphere accepts signal input from single-mode fibers with NA ≤ 0.2 and MM fibers with NA ≤ 0.4, as well as parallel beams up to 3 mm in diameter. If equipped with the included heat sink, optical power levels up to +40 dBm can be measured.
Its form factor allows flexibility in placing a remote optical power meter and then connecting it to the N7749C. A variety of adapters are available to allow input from popular fiber connector types, bare fiber, or open beams.
N7749C interface for two or four optical power heads
Control remote head
The average sample time range for all magnetic heads is 100 μs to 10 s
Read via LAN and USB interface, built-in Web browser GUI
Keysight optical power meter common SCPI command set
The power values are recorded using double 1M sample buffers per head, triggering continuous sampling either internally or externally
Continuous synchronous measurement and readout minimizes the overhead time of repeated measurements
Full range of universal trigger concepts
Analog output ports are ideal for automatic alignment
Direct feedback to the optimization process is provided through analog voltage output in the remote head itself and the N7749C front panel
A linear ratio to the optical signal power, or the logarithm of decades of power levels.
