The new rugged construction adds greater reliability through impact resistance, dust and rain protection, and withstands 30-inch drop tests. New features such as automatic tube heater operation, user-selved-clamping methods (sheath clips or fiber-optic bracket systems), automatic monitoring of image orientation, and battery charging during splicer operation provide a reliable productivity tool for end users. Each splicer includes new software that enables users to download splicer data to a PC for splicer data reporting, download splicer operating software over the Internet for optimal performance, and download video images from the splicer for enhanced technical support.
