Product Description:
The MDO4104-6 mixed domain oscilloscope is the world's first oscilloscope with a built-in spectrum analyzer. You can capture time-dependent analog, digital, and RF signals to get a complete system view of your device. Time domain and frequency domain at a glance. Look at the RF spectrum at any point in time to see how it changes over time or with the state of the device. Solve the most complex design problems quickly and efficiently with an oscilloscope integrated with your design.
Based on the industry-standard MSO4000B oscilloscope family, you can now use the tool of choice (oscilloscope) to view the frequency domain without having to find and relearn the spectrum analyzer. However, MDO does much more than simply observe the frequency domain as it does on a spectrum analyzer. The real power lies in its ability to correlate events in the frequency domain with phenomena in the time domain that cause them.
When both the RF channel and any analog or digital channel are open, the oscilloscope display will be divided into two views. The top half of the display is a traditional oscilloscope view of the time domain. The bottom half of the display is a frequency-domain view of the RF input. Note that the frequency domain view is not just the FFT of the analog or digital channel in the instrument, but the spectrum taken from the RF input.
