The E8663D PSG is a high-performance analog signal generator with high output power, low phase noise, and tuning in the frequency range from 100 kHz to 9 GHz for radar systems, satellite evaluation, and situations where low noise local oscillator is required. The output will automatically make its frequency change or sweep between frequencies. "Scanning" is a complete cycle of frequency change. Engineers use RF signal generators as test devices, primarily to measure the response of filters, amplifiers, and electrical components.
