The 8112A pulse generator is a fully programmable 50 MHz pulse generator with a 5 ns conversion and a maximum output amplitude of 32 Vpp (open circuit). All pulse parameters are variable, including delay and double pulse interval.
In addition to the comprehensive trigger mode, the external modulation capability extends the applicability. Provides 3-level signals and up-level, width, period, and delay modulated signals. These can be combined with trigger modes to easily simulate complex real signals, such as modulated bursts.
Step response and trigger hysteresis measurements require fast conversion or sawsawy signals, such as those obtained by the linear conversion mode of the HP 8112A - fixed 5 ns or variable 6.5 ns. The new cosine transition also changes from 6.5ns, meaning that the band-filtered signal is now equally easy to obtain.
The sensitive devices are protected by programmed output limits, the upper limit of which can be controlled by the device power supply. In addition, constant energy or constant width can also be programmed.
