PSM-002 is a miniature fiber polarization depolarization module launched by Luna Innovations (formerly General Photonics). It utilizes patented fiber extrusion technology to achieve high-frequency polarization state randomization, with a residual polarization degree of less than 5% (typically 2.5%). It is compatible with the 980-1310 nm or 1260-1650 nm wavelength bands. It focuses on miniaturization, wide temperature stability, and flexible control, and is suitable for sensor, communication systems, PMD simulation, PDL measurement, and polarization sensitivity elimination scenarios. It supports both board-level and waterproof enclosure forms, and is suitable for deployment in both laboratory and harsh environments.

Miniaturization and multi-form compatibility: The size is extremely small (board-level 96×63.5×18 mm, enclosure 115×82.6×19 mm). A waterproof enclosure is available to cope with high humidity environments. Standard / wide-temperature versions meet different working conditions. The integration is convenient.
Rate flexibility and controllability: The depolarization rate can be set remotely at 0.01 - 20,000 points per second via RS-232. It supports TTL trigger start and stop, and is compatible with different measurement rhythms and system linkage requirements.
Optical performance is outstanding: The insertion loss without connector is less than 0.05 dB, and with connector it is less than 0.6 dB. The return loss is greater than 65 dB (without connector). PMD is less than 0.05 ps, PDL is less than 0.05 dB, with low residual modulation and high signal fidelity.
