PCD - 003 is a 4-axis all-fiber polarization depolarization module launched by Luna Innovations (formerly General Photonics). It achieves depolarization by applying high-frequency perturbation to the input optical polarization state, with a residual polarization degree of less than 5%. It is compatible with wavelengths ranging from 980-1310 nm or 1260-1650 nm, and is mainly used to eliminate polarization-dependent gain (PDG), suppress polarization sensitivity, compensate for PMD simulation, and measure PDL, etc. The all-fiber design offers low insertion loss, high return loss, and stable optical performance, making it suitable for system integration and OEM deployment.
