mEDFA-C11CA-M100-MFA is an erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) introduced by VIAVI. It belongs to the MAP series module and is specifically designed for optical testing and measurement, as well as system laboratories. It is a single-channel amplifier that operates in the extended C band (1528nm - 1569nm), uses FC/APC connectors, and is packaged for desktop or rack-mounted deployment.
This product is based on the third-generation erbium-doped fiber design and features simplified control logic and modular architecture. It can be easily integrated into automated testing systems and is suitable for applications such as spectral testing of optical components, OSNR noise loading, and power loading of optical amplifiers. It can also serve as a stable light source for optical calibration systems.
