The Agilent 83487A is a high-performance optoelectronic module designed for fiber-optic communication and high-speed digital signal testing. It integrates a 3GHz optical channel (compatible with 62.5/125μm multimode fiber) and a 20GHz electrical channel (3.5mm male input), supporting a wavelength range of 750nm to 860nm and featuring 0.155/0.622/1.066/1.250Gb/s reference receiver functions. Compatible with Agilent 83480A digital communication analyzers and 86100A/B/C Infiniium DCA/DCA-J hosts, it enables synchronized opto-electronic measurements and is widely used in R&D and production testing of high-speed communication systems like Fiber Channel (FC) and Gigabit Ethernet.
