LUNA PDLE-101 is a source/simulator specifically designed for polarization-dependent loss (PDL) testing. Characteristics
It can accurately generate any PDL value within the range of 0 to 20 dB, and has a resolution of 0.1 dB when used for PDL tolerance measurement. It can also generate variable PDL values based on the user-defined range, waveform and speed to conduct PDL tracking speed and recovery time tests.
The instrument supports front panel button control, and can also be remotely controlled via USB, RS-232, GPIB or Ethernet interface. The operation is flexible and convenient.
Performance indicators: The residual polarization mode dispersion (PMD) of the equipment is less than 0.1 ps, which can effectively reduce the influence of PMD on the test results and ensure the test accuracy.
It is mainly used for tests related to high-speed optical transceivers, such as 40Gb/s and 100Gb/s data transmission systems, and can also be used for code development of PDL compensation in coherent systems and other scenarios.
