The Agilent N7782B series PER analyzer is designed for the high speed and high precision measurement of polarization extinction ratio (PER) in polarization-maintaining fibers. The polarization measurement principle ensures reliable measurement of PER values up to 50dB.
The real-time measurement capability, combined with an automated interface, makes the device ideal for integration into manufacturing systems, such as pigtail stations for laser diodes and planar waveguide components. Analog interfaces are provided to integrate the system into control loop applications.
