The MS2028B has a frequency range from 5 kHz to 20 GHz. It is the handheld vector network analyzer with the widest frequency range and highest performance in the industry and can be used for two-port measurements. It can accurately perform two-port amplitude, phase, and distance-to-fault measurements with vector correction, meeting the complex cable and antenna measurement requirements in the field.
Features
Wide frequency coverage: The frequency range from 5 kHz to 20 GHz covers a variety of radio frequency communication systems, radars, and microwave communication systems, including coaxial and waveguide systems.
High-precision measurement: It adopts a 12-term error correction algorithm, which is the first in handheld vector network analyzers and can provide high-precision measurement results.
Fast measurement: The typical measurement speed is 750 μs per point, suitable for on-site tuning applications.
Three-receiver architecture: Adopting a three-receiver architecture, all 4 S-parameters can be measured by connecting the device under test only once, improving the measurement efficiency.
Multiple displays and functions: Users can configure a four-quadrant display and display up to four S-parameters. It supports waveguide measurement as well as SOLT, SSLT, and SST calibrations. It also has a vector voltmeter option suitable for cable phase matching, a high-precision power meter option with a frequency range from 50 MHz to 18 GHz, and a time-domain option for accurate time or distance-to-fault diagnosis.
Data storage and transmission: It has USB and Ethernet interfaces for data transmission. The memory can store more than 4000 traces and settings, and there is also a memory card slot to expand the data storage and transmission capabilities. It has a built-in 2GB storage space.
Easy to operate: The high-resolution TFT color display is clearly visible even in sunlight. There is a built-in editable cable and signal standard list. It can be connected to a laptop via the Ethernet interface to automate repetitive tasks. It supports multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese, and two additional languages can be customized using the main software tool.
Battery life and expandability: The battery life is more than 2 hours, meeting the long-term on-site use requirements. In addition, a GPS receiver can be optionally configured.
Lightweight and portable: It is lightweight and easy to carry. It is battery-powered, making it convenient to use in different on-site environments such as the wild, providing convenience for on-site installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
