The Fitel S178 handheld core alignment fusion splicer is the latest product of the S17X series of fusion splicers. The Fitel S178 fusion splicer integrates speed, precision, durability and portability, opening up a new application field for core alignment splicing.
The splicer of Fitel S178 is equipped with a new core alignment system, which can save up to 20% of splicing time. The improved heating mechanism can also reduce the shrinkage time of the protective tube by more than 30%. In addition, the newly integrated USB 2.0 interface speeds up PC communication and image/video transmission, while enhancing reliability.
Although the S178 fusion splicer is much smaller and lighter than previous models, its canopy design, durable metal frame and rubber protective corners provide strong protection, enabling it to be used in harsh environments without affecting the splicing performance. Besides being sturdy and durable, the splicer also offers convenience. The new battery system allows up to 200 splicing cycles (splicing/heating) before needing an additional battery, and the innovative no-mirror alignment system makes maintenance a breeze.
