The MAP erbium-doped fiber amplifier (mEDFA) module combines the optical performance of traditional VIAVI benchtop modules with the flexibility and modularity of the MAP series. Variants of the EDFA are designed for different applications, such as amplifier simulation, OSNR (optical signal-to-noise ratio) experiments, and network conformance testing.
