The OVB optically variable back reflector enables precise back reflection control and excellent repeatability. It can be used as a bench or rack mounted instrument. OVB is ideal for laboratory and production applications, including transceiver testing, QA testing, laser production and automated test systems. The OVB variable back reflector provides ± 0.02dB repeatability with a single-mode range of 60dB and a multi-mode range of 35dB. The OVB can be controlled via the touchscreen on the front panel, or remotely via USB and Ethernet. The OVB series of variable back reflectors have a single-mode operating range of 1200-1700 and a multi-mode operating range of 750-1700. A 50/50 coupler can be added to bypass the variable back reflector for input signal monitoring.
