Product Overview:
The EXFO OSICS ATN variable optical attenuator has a attenuation range of 60dB and can operate over a large wavelength range. As part of the test setup, the ATN module can be used to balance the channel and achieve lower power levels without modifying the source signal-to-noise ratio. This is particularly useful for optical amplifier characterization. With the ability to accept input power up to 2W, this module can be used on large channel counting DWDM test benches.
Product features:
Attenuation range:
The OSICS ATN has a attenuation range of 60dB, covering a wide range of attenuation needs.
The attenuation setting resolution is 0.1dB and the display resolution is 0.01dB, providing fine adjustment capability.
Low return loss:
The OSICS ATN has a low return loss that eliminates the need for an additional optical isolator in front of the attenuator to ensure laser stability.
The return loss is greater than 50dB, which ensures the stability and reliability of the system.
High input power:
The OSICS ATN is capable of accepting input power up to 2W for high power applications.
Wavelength range:
OSICS ATN can operate in a wide range of wavelengths, such as 1250nm to 1650nm (on single-mode fiber) and 1440nm to 1650nm (on polarization-holding fiber), meeting the test needs of different fiber types.
Real-time operation:
The OSICS platform is equipped with a single slot module and the user-friendly interface can be used to adjust attenuation in real time.
Versatility:
The OSICS platform offers a wide range of features, including remote commands, capacity for up to eight modules (including DFBS), high-performance tunable laser sources and optical switches, to meet the diverse testing needs of users.
