Product Overview:
The EXFO PPM1 is a versatile dual-protocol tester designed for PON service commissioning and supports a wide range of broadband functions. It uses the PON protocol wavelength selection design to measure two downlink signals and assess power levels simultaneously, helping users get service up and running quickly and reliably.
Product features:
PON-aware (PON-Aware ™) features:
Help users choose the right PON technology for testing.
By leveraging customizable or preset PON protocol configurations, PPM1 can inform users and recommend available PON protocols for the network under test to correctly determine pass/fail results for error-free testing.
Support 1G/10G PON network:
Compatible with G/EPON and XGS-PON/10G-EPON technologies.
Suitable for next generation passive optical network (PON) test requirements.
Intuitive user interface:
Equipped with a color touch screen and a highly intuitive graphical user interface (GUI), no training is required to get started.
Rugged and durable:
IP54 protection design, dustproof, waterproof.
Suitable for long-term use in the field, providing reliable optical performance.
Long life battery:
Equipped with long life lithium polymer battery, rechargeable and field replaceable.
Ensure the continuous working ability of the tester in the field.
PRO model features:
In addition to the PON mode, the PPM1 PRO model features a wideband power meter mode that is calibrated at five wavelengths.
Visual Fault Locator (VFL) : emits optical signals in three different modes (continuous, slow blinking, and fast blinking) to align the fiber and identify breaks and macro bends in the fiber.
