The NI VXIpc 870 series controllers are C embedded computers based on x86 processor architecture, Peripheral Component Interface (PCI) and advanced graphics port (AGP). They are an easy-to-use, high-performance platform for controlling VXIbus systems. These computers feature full VXI functionality through interactive utilities and C function calls, Ethernet functionality, IEEE 488.2 interfaces, and full VXI plug-and-play compliance. All models are compatible with NI LabVIEW and LabWindows/CVI application software, PC combable software tools, and NI-VXI, NI-Visa, and NI-488.2 bus interface software.
The VXIpc 870 series includes VXIPC-871, VXIPC-872, and VXIPC-873 models. The difference between the models is that the VXIpc-871 has an internal CD-ROM drive, the VXIpc-872 has an AT/PCI expansion slot, and the VXIpc-873 has an internal non-removable flash drive and an AT/PCI expansion slot or a removable flash drive.
