Product Description:
The MP1776A is an error detector capable of accommodating up to four error detector units for simultaneous or independent BER testing from 100 Mbps to 12.5 Gbps.
Its unique design provides the flexibility to operate in single, 2 or 4-channel combination modes. Operating in combination mode is particularly useful when testing 1:2 or 1:4 DEMUX units and is performed very efficiently. For example, when the MP1776A is in 4-channel combination mode, a relationship is established between channels, treating all 4 channels as a single rate data input (4 times the data rate of one channel).
Each channel is capable of measuring BER up to 12.5 Gbps. When used with the MP1775A 4-channel pulse pattern generator, BER testing and analysis of up to 4 channels can be performed simultaneously. Depending on its mode of operation, the MP1776A supports programmable modes of different sizes for specific tests, as well as various PRBS modes 31-1 for up to 2 PRBS modes, Zero replacement modes, and up to 2 15 and Consecutive Zero modes.
Anritsu's core competencies and expertise in high-speed BER testing and the high-performance technology of our popular single-channel 12.5Gbps BERT system are built into the MP1776A 4-channel error detector. Its error insertion and fast synchronization methods make it an ideal BER analyzer for evaluating and characterizing 10 Gbps WDM devices, modules, and electrical/optical devices.
To protect your future investment in 40G development, the MP1776A 4-channel error detector can be used as part of the Anritsu ME7760B 43.5G BER test system or the ME7780A 48B BER test system. With the continuous development of 40+ Gbps transmission systems, the demand for instruments to test SONET/SDH frames is high. To meet this requirement, Anritsu's MX177601A software can optionally be used with the MP1776A for analyzing SONET/SDH frames as well as CID mode for stress test clock recovery circuits.
