The Tektronix TSG4106A M00 RF vector signal generator offers medium performance and modulation bandwidth up to 200 MHz at the price of an entry-level RF signal generator. They employ new technology to provide spury-free output with low phase noise (-113 dBc/Hz at 1 GHz carrier offset 20 kHz) and extraordinary frequency resolution (1 μHz at any frequency). The Tektronix TSG4106A M00 comes standard with analog modulation. Convenient on-site software upgrades allow for an easy transition from analog to more advanced vector and digital modulation capabilities, providing the most flexible configuration and the best capex protection. These instruments complement Tektronix's other leading mid-range RF test solutions, such as the USB-based RSA306 spectrum analyzer and the MDO4000B and MDO3000 mixed-domain oscilloscopes.
The Tektronext TSG4106A M00 instrument uses an extremely large SC cutoff oscillator (TSG410xA-M00 or E1 model) timebase, which offers up to 100 times greater stability (and 100 times less near phase noise) than instruments using the TCXO timebase.
